We are hiring a  Logistics Operator at our Kingstree, SC Nutritional Products facility for DAY SHIFT (7:30AM to 4:00PM).

 

Are you ready to work for the Global leader in providing DHA omega-3 and ARA omega-6 fatty acids for use in infant formula using microalgal fermentation?  Our Logistics team is ready to welcome you! Kingstree manufacturing is focused around large-scale fermentation process, recovery and refining processes, packaging and customer supply.  Our fully integrated and automated production processes provide highest level of food/Infant grade quality: food grade GMP. 

 

As a Logistics Operator you have a business critical role. You will perform shipping/receiving duties, reconciliation, and storing of materials in warehouse areas. You will also ensure items are inventoried properly and prepare materials for use in production areas.

 

The Kingstree, SC manufacturing plant offers a business dedicated to producing nutrients that are critical for the overall health and well-being of humans and animals at all stages of life.  Our customers rightly expect safe and high quality products. That is why, at DSM Kingstree we ensure high quality in everything we do, and have a quality culture in place which is based around 8 customer commitments.

 

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Using Company vehicles (including forklifts) and equipment to load/unload and transport materials in a safe manner 
  • Completing accurate documentation and maintaining correct inventory of items; adhering to GMP practices and paperwork requirements
  • Repackaging and preparation of materials for use in production areas-- may involve converting measurements between standard and metric versions
  • Transfering of materials to and from rail cars, attaching flanges and couplings to prepare cars for use and breaking down for return, which requires bending, stooping, and crawling under rail cars
  • Transfering of materials to and from road tankers and rail cars, which requires climbing vertical ladders to perform various tasks on top of rail cars and over the road tankers
  • Transfering of materials to and from freezer areas, which requires working in extremely cold environment, as cold as -22 Celsius

What we like to see in your experience: 

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly throughout a shift required
  • 1-2 years manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) preferred
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written 
  • Ability to operate company vehicles (including forklift) and equipment
  • Ability to complete accurate documentation and maintain correct inventory of items
