As the successful candidate, you will join the Science & Research community, in the Analytical Sciences Switzerland department in Kaiseraugst as intern and contribute to the development of our applied scientific capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Characterisation of compounds from our collection using HR-MS and NMR:
Analyse selected compounds from our compound collection on a HPLC-HRMS (QToF) and preferably also a high-field NMR system; verification of identity, documentation of characteristic fragmentation and spectra, estimation of purity.
Spectral database entries:
Creation of corresponding database entries.
Establish quality check tools/protocol to ensure high quality database
Automation of related workflows:
Contribute to automation of corresponding workflow.

You Bring:

Bachelor in analytical chemistry or relevant related field, with broad analytical expertise, interest in exploring new scientific opportunities and conducting hands-on research.
Background and interest in LC-(HR)-MS; NMR would be a plus.
Sound knowledge of different software and data processing technologies would be a plus.
Creativity and open-mindedness to solve daily analytical challenges, working in close collaboration with experts in the field.
Excellent team spirit and communication skills, organization and networking capacity.
Fluent in English, good knowledge of German or wish to learn is considered a plus.
Prerequisite for an application is that the internship is formal part of your studies, i.e., required by the curriculum.
