As our Technical Product Manager (TPM), you will work within the overall framework of the Health, Nutrition & Care (HNC) product and technology management-based organization. You will identify manufacturing solutions for existing, and new products utilizing our production capabilities in the most efficient way, using toll manufacturers where appropriate.

As our Technical Product Manager, you will work in close cooperation with the Science & Research community and Improve Plant Engineering functions of sites.

Other relevant aspects are external partnerships and M&A, assessments of risks in terms of costs, quality, environmental impact, complexity, safety and health.

Your key responsibilities:

Build, maintain, and deepen technical expertise and know-how in manufacturing of Water-soluble Vitamins, specifically Vitamin C and Vitamin B5
Drive and lead the strategic positioning of the products through best-in-class and breakthrough technology solutions.
Resolve technical issues in our production plants as prioritized by PTTs, or sites (e.g. capacity changes, supporting the Improve Plant function in technical issues), or the business by mobilizing appropriate resources and expertise (e.g. via Global Production Support, non-routine manufacturing)
Act as go-to person for non-technical functions on all technical queries around the assigned products.
Provide technical expertise to Product Management and Innovation Management to evaluate manufacturing processes and technological options for new manufacturing routes, capacity expansion and new production setups, ensuring lowest or optimized cost production.
Evaluate technology developments, competences, and competitive positioning of existing and upcoming competitors.

You bring:

Degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, biotechnology, or a closely related discipline
Experience in chemical or biotech process development and/or production of vitamins, carotenoids or fine chemicals is essential
Experience in a project-management role would be a distinct advantage, as well as background knowledge of the manufacturing processes in use within HNC
Ability to work in multi-functional, multi-disciplinary, and multi-cultural environments and teams
Solution oriented, creative, collaborative
Fluent in English. German language skills also desirable
