Specialist Procurement

Specialist Procurement plays a key role in dsm-firmenich Procurement team, she or he will support Regional Procurement Team on ensuring supply continuity and project focusing on supply improvements. Procurement Specialist is responsible to ensure security of supply, deliver against key performance indicators, drive best practices, and connect effectively with key internal stakeholders and dsm-firmenich supply ecosystem in full accordance with our Code of Ethics and applicable policies. This function will be reporting to Manager Procurement TTH Indonesia  who is based in Cileungsi, Indonesia.


Key Responsibilities:
•    Serve as the primary liaison between regional and global category for implementation of sourcing strategy and activities to site Operation and all project-related procurement matters 
•    Collaborate with site Planning, Quality, Production, Logistics, Commercial, Customer care, and other cross functional teams to ensure continuity of supply and efficiency to support site Operations 
•    Support Site Audits for internal compliance / external certifications.
•    Participate to projects aiming at creating value for dsm-firmenich (Leadtime Reduction, Productivity, SMI, SMOI, SOI, Forecast Collaboration, etc).    
•    Support Global sourcing teams in sourcing portfolio management on assigned category(s) of Raw Materials
•    Develop local sourcing strategies and contribute to procurement projects and site continuous improvement initiatives.  
•    Managing site localization and regional sourcing initiatives with an ability to analyse and understand data and TCO concepts through implementation.
•    Ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address complicated, day-to-day problems to support site Operations.
•    Co-ordinate procurement activities at site and SEA region. 
•    Ensure raw materials compliance with dsm-firmenich procurement policies, standards and regulatory requirements. 
•    Prepare and request for price quotation based on raw material requirements by ensuring competitive sourcing and meet quality requirements and to mitigate procurement risks through cross-functional assessments and proactive risk management.

You bring:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Business, Supply chain or a related field from an accredited university required
•    A minimum of 5 years’ experience in strategic procurement, category management, or project management.
•    Experience working in a project-driven environment with continuous improvement mindset
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and complex projects efficiently.
•    Proficiency in system and data management (Excel, SAP, and data analysis).
•    Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build trust and credibility.
•    Strong communication skills, with fluency in English (written and verbal); 
•    A proactive, self-driven attitude with a strong focus on results.
