Job Title – Automation Engineer
Location – Karawang, Indonesia
This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and is based at Firmenich Aromatics Indonesia, Karawang Plant. The role is responsible for designing, programming, and maintaining automated systems to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and safety. It involves working with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems, troubleshooting automation issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
- Develop and implement automation solutions for production processes.
- Support maintenance teams in resolving automation-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, Food Safety, GMP, and industry regulations.
- Maintain documentation and provide training to operators and technicians.
- Collaborate on system integration and continuous improvement initiatives.

You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial automation or control systems.
- Proficient in PLC programming and familiar with HMI/SCADA systems.
- Strong understanding of industrial networks and system architecture.
- Skilled in instrumentation, calibration, and safety systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
