Home Based Position - Perfer candidate to be based in the Midwest or South East, TN or TX; but not required.

 

Travel Requirements: 60-80%

 

The Challenge

As an Account Manager in Fresh Dairy you will be a key player in driving our Fresh Dairy results in USA with both local, regional and global key accounts.  You will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager Fresh Dairy NAFTA.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • In this role you will have a thorough understanding of DSM’s cultures and enzymes range for the dairy industry from a commercial point of view and having a technical understanding of the portfolio, the market and the industry is also key.
  • Support sales through commercial planning and strategy as well as supporting technical advice, training and customer trials.
  • Externally orientated and keen to develop new applications for our cultures and enzymes in line with customer requirements.
  • Contribute to the innovation process with your industry insights and expertise and you are continually assisting the development of our application knowledge into dairy processes.
  • Able to provide technical / application presentations to all accounts, including global key accounts. Your main target area is fresh dairy products (sour cream, yogurt, cottage cheese, kefir, etc.).

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in dairy/food science or business-related field or Biological Sciences and have an interest in biotechnology. 
  • Strong technical background and working familiarity with the use of Cultures and Enzymes in and in depth knowledge of the dairy industry and preferably have practical experience with dairy ingredients.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in sales or marketing.
  • Willingness to travel 60-80%.
  • Preferably have regional experience and a proven sales track record in the dairy industry with dairy products.
  • Enjoy working with customers and have the ability to communicate at all levels and can tailor complex technical and commercial information into clear messages for all commercial audiences, sympathetic for their needs and technical understanding, while being equally home in a scientific setting.
  • Fluent in English language.
