Job Title:         Laboratory Analyst

Department:    Quality

Reporting To:   Quality Manager

 

We have one permanent vacancy within the Quality Department working on a dayshift pattern.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

The Laboratory Analyst’s responsibilities include:

 

  1. Carrying out analysis in accordance with analytical schedules/SAP worksheets.
  2. Reporting analytical results in SAP, excel or as instructed.
  3. Pass or fail verdict on in process samples
  4. Sample collection and appropriate storage/retention as required
  5. Operating, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory equipment.
  6. Providing a troubleshooting analytical service to the operate and improve plant teams.
  7. Non routine analysis as required.
  8. Preparing and analyse final product stability samples.
  9. Prepare laboratory reagents and standards
  10. Assist with Supplier, Customer, and site deviation investigations
  11. Providing support and training to the process teams on GMP, ISO and Quality issues.
  12. Maintaining up to date documentation in the laboratory area (e.g., analytical methods, COSHH, manual handling assessments, risk assessments etc.).
  13. Monitoring environmental and waste streams.
  14. Must operate within the policies and practices of the company and within laws relating to employment

 

You bring

 

Successful candidates will ideally have a qualification in a Chemistry related subject and have a minimum of 2 years relevant industrial experience.  Candidates will have a good knowledge of analytical techniques, GMP and GLP.  Other essential behavior is being flexible, self-motivated and attention to detail.
