As Global Category Manager Subscriptions & Memberships you will lead the category by developing, executing, and overseeing the sourcing strategiesy for all subscription related to Business and consumer insights, AI and market data for our BU’s. As a pivotal team member, you will translate company requirements and guidelines into actionable plans that drive unprecedented success. Your role is to redefine the procurement of Business Intelligence data on a global scale by crafting innovative category plans and leading transformative initiatives. You will cultivate strong supplier partnerships, deliver exceptional value, and enhance our company's reputation. Your key responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive category strategies and plans, outlining clear objectives and tactics for your category.
- Drive the implementation of these strategies, identifying opportunities for value creation and cost savings.
- Conduct thorough, fact-based negotiations and manage the supplier selection and contracting process effectively.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders and procurement colleagues to ensure alignment and maximize procurement initiatives' impact.
- Proactively manage key supplier relationships, overseeing performance through the Supplier Excellence Program and maintaining up-to-date contracts
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and communication among category managers and buyers, leveraging deep category expertise and standardized processes to drive efficiency and best practices adoption.
- Contribute to the dsm-firmenich Indirect Procurement strategy, enhancing the department's profile and recognition among internal stakeholder.

You bring
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Procurement or relevant field, master’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of proven expertise in either Marketing, procurement or Business Intelligence context
- Demonstrated skills in category management, strategic thinking & creativity, collaboration excellence, influencing & motivating others, and entrepreneurship
- Strong capabilities in demand management and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in data analytics and ability to gather business intelligence
- Ownership and accountability to deliver desired outcomes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholder
