As a Documentation Specialist, you will coordinate and prepare regulatory documents by industry specifics, company policies and customer requirements. This role also provides customers as well as First Choice Ingredients team members with regulatory and compliance support. The Documentation Specialist represents First Choice Ingredients for select Industry Associations and is an active member of strategic committees.

Responsibilities: 

  • Keep current on regulatory policies and procedures for the dairy industry, maintaining constant awareness of impending changes in local or state legislation that may have notable implications and advise senior management of potential areas of concern. 
  • Completes documentation and specifications as required by customers 
  • Develops and maintains vendor related paperwork 
  • Conduct safety reviews of dairy formulas for regulatory compliance and customer specific requirements. 
  • Work directly with R&D and applications teams to provide specification and documentation to ensure compliance for project specific needs. 
  • Maintain and update documents to assure that all dairy and product development raw materials have up to date SDS as well as any other required regulatory documentation and verify that all materials are properly classified

You bring:

  • Excellent computer skills. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow through. 
  • Work as a team, able to follow instructions and work without supervision 
  • B.S. degree in Science or associated field preferred.  Work equivalent experience considered 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the dairy or food industries with at least 2 years in a regulatory role
