As a Production Operator in our Germantown plant, you will be part of a hard-working, welcoming team that manufactures specialty ingredients and processing aids for the dairy industry.

 

We currently have openings within our Fermentation Department (2nd, 3rd shift openings), as well as our Blend/Pack Department (2nd, 3rd shift openings).

 

The Germantown plant is a 24-hour-a-day, 5-days-a-week operation manufacturing Direct Vat Cultures (DVC) and Bulk Set Cultures (BSC) used in making cheese and other dairy products.

 

Our foundation starts with safety, and the health and well-being of our team is truly our number one priority. Every member of the team is encouraged and empowered to help identify and improve safety, health and environment. Within our different production areas, your activities could involve preparing, initiating and monitoring fermentation processes, or subsequent functions including blending and packaging. All is done in a neat, clean environment under food industry quality standards.

 

Whatever the task, you’ll get plenty of opportunity to show what you can do, and how you can progress and grow within the business. We have a culture of continuous improvement, with structured teams that include operators, maintenance techs, quality personnel and engineering support. You’ll be able to learn Lean/Six-Sigma concepts and tools. You will be guided by leaders who will listen to your opinions to create the best working environment for everyone in the team, every step of the way. It can be a physically demanding role at times, but we will make sure you have everything you need to succeed—with rewards and incentives to match.

What you need

 

As well as being able to physically carry out duties, we are looking for:

 

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be 18 years old to work in a plant job
  • Forklift Certification
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50-60 lbs. consistently throughout the shift
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able to read/comprehend English
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • At least one year production or food service experience preferred
  • Due to the nature, the position requires the ability to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) including hard hat, eye protection and in some cases other area specific PPE needs (e.g. ear protection, respirator)
