Functional Lead Expert, Digital Plant Maintenance

As our Functional Lead Expert in Digital Plant Maintenance, your key responsibilities will include:
- Value Delivery & Outcome Alignment
Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze user requirements and translate them to functional specifications and technical business impact. Execute on digital Plant Maintenance backlog of enhancements as well as on the Plant Maintenance Roadmap ensuring that digital products (e.g, SAP PM, Work Order and Notification applications, Planning and Scheduling etc.) deliver measurable value and are tightly aligned with long-term business goals and digital transformation priorities.
- Team Management
Guiding the cross functional teams regarding implementation of digital solutions to improve Plant Maintenance and MRO (spare parts) processes and all the related solution areas such as SAP PM/MRO, ABAP, Mendix, API/webMethods, Authorizations, Integrations (PtP, FICO) etc.
- Quality Assurance & Testing
Define and execute test cases, manage user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure system usability, reliability, and performance.
- Compliance & Standards
Ensure digital solutions adhere to GxP, data privacy, and security standards. Execute the "technical" triage to determine high vs medium and low change track and ensure early involvement of solution architect and needed expertise roles (GxP, security etc.) in case of high impact changes.
- System Administration & Support
Configure and maintain quality-focused business applications and provide support for troubleshooting.
- Process Improvement
Proactively collaborate with the business stakeholders to analyze and optimize business processes, promoting architectural consistency and reducing technical debt.
- Documentation & Training
Create, update, and maintain detailed documentation, including user manuals, SOPs, and system design specifications, ensure adequate users training.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Support product-related communication, managing expectations and fostering transparency across all levels of the organization.

Monitor product performance, gather user feedback, and identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement to keep the product relevant and competitive.

- Master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of working experience in delivering digital solutions within Plant Maintenance.
- Deep knowledge and experience of Plant Maintenance systems as well as business processes (MRO, SHE), and integrations: Purchase to Pay and Finance and Control.
- Deep knowledge and experience with implementing digital solutions such as CMMS, specifically SAP PM, configurations and data migrations (including SAP ECC and S/4Hana and its integration with other modules).
- Good understanding of integration with external applications e.g. Mendix platform, WebMethods, ODL, Unite-X etc.
- Experience in managing a team of technical & functional experts as well as managing RFIs / RFPs for software implementation from external vendors.
- Experience of working in Agile environments.
