Production Engineer

Location: Freeport, TX

What You’ll Do:

Provide engineering and problem-solving skills to ensure the process operates safely and optimally.  Monitor and analyze process performance.  Analyze limitations and bottlenecks.  Identify opportunities for process improvements, develop and implement solutions. Serve as the process technology expert on site in the Etinol/Vinylol areas.

Key responsibilities:

Monitor and track plant performance (output, quality, yields, solvent usage)

Lead operations in troubleshooting and investigation (RCAs)

Develop and document in-depth process technology understanding

Define optimal operation conditions / monitor plant and adjust for optimum performance

Update OUIs and SOPs in assigned process areas

Identify improvement opportunities and generate IP proposals & scope sheets

Lead Six Sigma projects to improve yield, reduce energy usage and improve quality

You bring:

Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering

Experience providing engineering support in production or project roles

Knowledge of production unit operations and manufacturing equipment

Detailed knowledge of relevant Manufacturing Excellence work processes

Detailed knowledge of applicable SHE & Manufacturing requirements

Knowledge of data analysis techniques, Root Cause Analysis, tools and application.

Six Sigma Training preferred
