Production Technician II -2nd Shift/Chemical Operations
Location: Exton, PA
2nd shift: M-F 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM

 
Accustomed to working in regulated Production environments and following SOP’s?  We are seeking a self-starter with a keen sense of quality and safety. Having a mechanical aptitude and process mindset we can achieve great things together. Join our growing team in Exton, PA. 
 
You will be responsible to:

  • Responsible for cleaning all reactors, pressure pots, drums and other ancillary equipment that are needed for the synthesis of DSM Biomedical products.
  • Provide sifting, packaging, extruding support as required.
  • Record all the amounts of cleaning solvents used in the Material Log Sheet in the warehouse after cleaning. 
  • Revise current cleaning procedures when needed.
  • Report any observed unsafe equipment, condition or practice immediately to a supervisor, management or member of the Safety Committee. 
  • Adhere to DSM Quality System procedures and the ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards. 
  • Assist in the repair and preventative maintenance of manufacturing equipment. 
  • Assist the Production Chemist in managing the disposal of Hazardous Waste that is generated daily, taking all the required raw materials for the product to be made from the warehouse, weighing and dispensing the required raw materials for the synthesis and making sure that the reactor and ancillary equipment are clean and ready for use. 
  • Properly trained on tasks necessary to ensure hazardous materials are properly handled, classified and stored. Perform duties necessary to characterize and profile waste in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

What we look for in you:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 + years relevant experience in a chemical or industrial manufacturing facility/plant. 
  • Experience with general manufacturing processes and demonstrated ability to learn and work safely. 
  • Must possess basic understanding of chemical safety and hygiene. 
  • Accommodate 2nd shift hours - M-F 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Some flexibility will be needed. . 
  • Good documentation and communication skills required. 
  • Aptitude and ability to follow written technical instructions. 
  • Ability to lift and handle weights up to 50 pounds. 
  • Punctual, self-starter, dependable and detail-oriented. 
  • Proficient using MS Word, Excel and Outlook
