Reliability Engineer- Evansville, IN 


Our Maintenance team is ready to welcome you!  Are you ready to work for a world leader in high-performance and increasingly sustainable thermoplastic manufacturing?  DSM Engineering Materials enable lighter, stronger and more durable products - which in turn makes people’s lives safer, more convenient and healthier – and all while helping to tackle carbon emissions.  


As a Reliability Engineer you have a business critical role. Your drive to improve the reliability and integrity of the Evansville site with regard to equipment, maintenance procedures and  maximizing technical availability of assets will allow us to optimize production and meet client expectations.  


The Evansville, IN manufacturing plant is futureproofing and expanding the capacity of its high-performance materials compounding facility.  The extensive modernization and expansion of the site is being driven by increasing customer demand for advanced material solutions for electrification, metal replacement and light-weighting in multiple industries. It includes the addition of the latest state-of-the-art production technologies, increasing efficiency and sustainability throughout the facility.


What can you expect in your work?  No day is the same and you will be working in a dynamic work environment.  You will be responsible to:
•    Identify potential performance killers and cost drivers by monitoring and analyzing the performance of the plant using statistical methods 
•    Define and ensure the availability of critical spare parts, services and contracts for all corrective preventive and predictive maintenance on site
•    Develop/implement/maintain an electronic plant dossier for centralized storage of asset knowledge
•    Define the optimum PPM program related to the business strategy 
•    Lead criticality ranking and failure modes and effects analysis on future equipment installations
•    Execute RCA to find causes for reliability problems 
•    Maintains customer contacts for key process equipment and critical spare parts
•    Monitor adherence to the Improve Plant (IP) process, (ME6), for existing equipment modifications as well and new installations

What we like to see in your experience:
•    Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or will consider 5 or more years of reliability experience in lieu of degree
•    Experience with maintenance organization including processes and systems, within a manufacturing environment
•    Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) execution
•    Working knowledge of statistical methods such as Pareto, CPK, SPC, etc
•    Familiarity with electrical and instrumentation technology methodologies
•    Project management experience 
•    Prior leadership or supervisor experience a plus
•    Strong presentation and communication skills 
•    Ability to work well in team setting
