Engineer, Reliability

Job title – Engineer, Reliability      

Location – Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium 

 

The Engineer Reliability ensures the improvement of the reliability and the operational technical availability of the production, logistics, and utilities equipment on our manufacturing site.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Define and implement a strategy to maximize equipment durability and reliability
  • Use data to identify critical equipment (low MTBF/ high MTTR). Develop and validate targeted reliability improvement plans. Management equipment obsolescence (Asset Portfolio Management)
  • Use reliability analysis tools: FMEA, What-if, RCA, and ensure efficient spare parts inventory management related to reliability
  • Contributes in the definition of the needs/designs of new equipment to maximize reliability from the conception phases  and propose appropriate maintenance policies: corrective, preventive, predictive, renewal or modification
  • Develop an annual reliability improvement plan. Regularly monitor reliability and performance indicators. Participate in monthly operational review meetings
  • Work closely with production and project engineering teams. Participate in technical forums and ‘Value Engineering’ meetings. Report critical malfunctions to management and report activities through performance indicators, analyses, and periodic reports

You bring

  • A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Experience of minimum 5 years in similar roles within the food, chemical or pharmaceutical industry
  • In-depth knowledge of automated systems and process technologies
  • Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001/14001 standards as well as knowledge of regulations on safety in the workplace
  • Strong organizational, leadership, problem-solving skills as well as project management skills
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software (e.g. SAP PM) and fluent in French & English
