As a Green Ops Intern, you’ll support our mission to make digital infrastructure more eco-friendly. You’ll get hands-on experience working across areas like cybersecurity, cloud services, workplace, and connectivity—helping us embed sustainability into everything we do.
Your key responsibilities
• Design for Impact: Help shape strategies that make our IT infrastructure more sustainable—think reducing carbon emissions and boosting energy efficiency across everything we do.
• Go Green with Tech: Explore and implement eco-friendly solutions in areas like cybersecurity, cloud services, workplace tools, and connectivity. This includes using green data centers, energy-efficient devices, and smart e-waste practices.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work with different departments and service providers to embed sustainability into their tech solutions—making sure we all move toward the same climate goals.
• Drive Real Change: Partner with our Digital & Tech sustainability group to ensure our infrastructure plans align with the company’s environmental targets.
• Lead and Learn: Take ownership of sustainability initiatives, track progress with clear metrics, and represent our team in sustainability forums and meetings.

You bring
• Education & Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. (Equivalent experience in sustainable technology roles will also be considered.)
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience will be a plus in the sustainability domain – for example, working on sustainable IT projects, environmental impact initiatives, or related operational sustainability roles.
• Sustainability Knowledge: Understanding of sustainable IT best practices and trends – such as carbon footprint reduction strategies, energy-efficient IT infrastructure, green data center concepts, renewable energy utilization, and e-waste management. Familiarity with sustainability frameworks or standards (e.g. ISO 14001, ESG reporting metrics) is a plus.
• Technical Acumen: A good grasp of IT infrastructure domains (cloud services, cybersecurity, workplace technology, networking) and how they intersect with sustainability. You should be comfortable discussing topics like data center operations, cloud optimization, and IT service management in the context of sustainability.
