Position Description

The Challenge
The Digital Marketing & Sales team is part of the IT organization that designs and develops digital solutions for all DSM’s business groups globally. We help shape the digital marketing & sales strategy and enable it with the best digital solutions.

 

As Digital Marketing Consultant, you will be part of our Digital Marketing & Sales team, with focus on the various customer touchpoints. You will work closely with Digital Marketeers across all business groups, help them shape their digital marketing strategy, and translate their functional requirements into digital solutions. As part of our team you will deliver new digital marketing assets and manage the implementation of changes to existing ones.

For our global headquarters in the Netherlands, we are looking for a Digital Marketing Consultant with high interest in B2B marketing and sales processes.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Together with Marketing & Sales teams across various businesses shape new opportunities, identify potential impact on (business) processes and translate them into digital solutions;
  • Collaborate closely with Business Stakeholders and SMEs to understand business requirements and desired capabilities, understand the value to DSM and provide constructive challenge where appropriate;
  • Turn aligned requirements into clear user stories (why & what) and collaborate with colleagues and the development teams to ensure a successful delivery of solutions;
  • As part of successful solution delivery, accountable for executing the functional solution design taking into account considerations such as customer / user experience / target audiences, data modelling and relationships – along with integration implications with other internal and external platforms, functional logic, etc.;
  • Collaborate closely with technical resources to determine the technical design in line with the functional solution design and understand the impact and implications of various solution options from business operations to technical performance – ultimately presenting the options back to the business, providing a recommendation and gaining clear alignment with business stakeholders on the direction;
  • Key stakeholder management by setting expectations on development approach and timelines – be able to identify key risks whether in design or during execution and collaborate and take action with the broader team as required to mitigate risks and impact;
  • Guide the business stakeholders on successfully activating the solutions that have been designed.

 
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree with a business and/or technical focus. A specialization in (digital) marketing is preferred;
  • Interest and understanding of digital marketing and sales processes;
  • Understanding of the concept of agile way of working;
  • Can do mentality and pro-active attitude;
  • Willing to invest in understanding our digital processes and supporting tools;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Fluent in English.
