Job title: Deputy Plant Engineering Manager
Location: Kunming, China
On-site: 8-hour normal working hours.
As Deputy Plant Engineering Manager, you will manage, maintain, and develop the site OT and related facility and technology. Improve the automation and digital operation level. You will participate in expert teams and advise within areas of expertise, implement local OT/IT related Capex projects. And ensure that the project objectives and milestones are met within approved budget, timing and in accordance with all relevant compliance rules and agreed quality standards. You will participate and promote cooperation among Engineering, SHE, Quality, Production etc. to improve the facility and equipment reliability of Capex projects and daily operations, and ensure them in compliance with SHE, Quality requirements.

Your key responsibilities
- Serve as a member or leader of the Hazard Analysis Evaluation Team and participate in the investigation and resolution of all process related incidents. Provide engineering support to local/regional process safety and environmental management (safety audits, PHA’s,...)
- To ensure the delivery of its operational and strategic targets and create a culture of innovation with right capability and outside in mindset.
- Deploy the organization for the Engineering function in his/her locale (structure, KPIs, governance, location...), following the new structures decided by the Group. Deploy the Engineering strategy and roadmap in his/her local, based on the Division Operation strategies
- Support operations to develop their Plant Master Plans in the local, and manage Capex planning for execution
- Deliver the Engineering management on all Operations investment projects in his/her Local. Deliver the project management of Operations investment projects, ensuring that they are completed safely, on time, on budget and to specifications:
- Responsible for Project management “when 5mCHF > project cost > 250 kHz”. Project Management “when project cost < 250 kHz” may be delegated to Divisions as decided by Engineering in consultation with the relevant Division

You bring:
- Bachelor with >10 years’ experience or Master with <10 years’ experience
- 10 years’ experience in Chemical or similar Process Industries
- Lean, Six sigma or Continuous improvement experience preferred
- Demonstrated previous experience in Technology & Process improvement
- Good computer skills, particularly word processing, spreadsheets and databases (Microsoft Office; Intermediate Excel; SAP; SRM)
Fluent in English is a must and other languages a real plus.
