This position is a key driver in creating and managing the true customer/consumer demand signals by which the organization aligns supply chain and company resources. It’s a critical role in the beginning of a Sales & Operation planning process, as revenue and supply plans leverage this information 

 

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Assess the impact of market changes or significant variances in the forecast and revise future forecast accordingly. The goal is to improve forecast accuracy on an ongoing basis.
  • Interact with sales account managers on an ongoing basis to discuss any demand related questions/decisions for their customers. Hold a formal demand review with each of them monthly.
  • Review history and trend on items in the Demand Planner’s portfolio to make decisions on the future forecast with, or without input from the ACM.
  • Collect past/future demand factors (distribution gains/losses, price changes, new/discontinued products and promotion plans, for example) from sales and forecast/model their impacts on demand.

You bring

 

  • Supply Chain Background in Demand Planning/Supply Planning/Purchasing/Customer service. Knowledge of how Supply Chain processes work.
  • Ability to think analytically, in sometimes ambiguous situations and make decisions independently.
  • Ability and willingness to collaborate, discuss and challenge assumptions on the future demand plan to constantly strive for improved forecast accuracy and bias reduction.
  • Microsoft Office – Particularly EXCEL
  • Experience with an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Netsuite etc )
  • Preferably experience with Demand Planning software (examples- Kinaxis, Info, JDA, Futurmaster etc )

 

 

 

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $31-$33.

 

 

In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits.
