dsm-firmenich’s Taste, Texture & Health (TTH) Division Ingredient Solutions is a leading global supplier of food enzymes, cultures, taste and health ingredients and other specialties for many of the leading global and local dairy, baking, beverages and savory food brands.

 

We are currently looking for a Category Manager Yeast Extract and Process Flavors (YE/PF). 

 

As a Category Manager YE / PF, you develop and drive the global product strategy for the category to ensure the realization of the global Yeast Extract and Process Flavors strategic objectives set by the business. You steer both P&L on behalf of the owner by managing and coordinating short-term activities across segments and functions to ensure end-to-end alignment and asset optimization. This position provides overall direction and structure to the category. Its focus is strategic planning, tactical as well as operational steering through the management team of the category.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Category manager represents “the business” as delegated owner towards all functions within a set mandate by the business P&L owner;
  • Develops and drives the global product strategy for the category in alignment with the segments strategy;
  • Steers the YE&PF P&L on behalf of the owner by managing and coordinating short-term activities across segments and functions to ensure end-to-end alignment and asset optimization;
  • Provides leadership and management to functions within the category team and the indirect reports to the category (e.g. manufacturing, supply chain management, R&D, product management, regulatory and strategic sourcing);
  • Monitors the execution and progress of the product strategy plan and propose corrective actions when necessary in order to achieve objectives, including monitoring of achievements against strategic intent;
  • Reviews performance against strategic plans and policies. Provide direction to the category by interpretation of results and proposes changes in plans to be decided upon by business MT;
  • Ensures the category is cost and quality competitive within the industry.

  • Reward: Based on your experience we will offer you a base salary of € 87,893 to € 125,562 per year (including holiday allowance and 13th month) and extra benefits, such as 25 holiday days, a bonus, the option to buy more holiday days with a 6% my choice budget and much more.

  

 

You Bring  

  • Academic degree;
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience within category, operation or business management;
  • Ability to drive a strategy in a complex matrix environment, managing and influencing;
  • Ability to work in a multicultural, multidisciplinary environment;
  • Fluent in English.
