Job Title:            Laboratory Analyst - Microbiologist

 

Process:              Quality

 

Reporting To:     Senior Laboratory Analyst     

 

 

We have one permanent vacancy working dayshift within the Quality Department.

The Laboratory Analyst’s responsibilities include:
 

  • Carrying out chemical and microbiological analysis in accordance with analytical schedules/LIMS worksheets;
  • Reporting analytical results in LIMS/SAP, excel or as instructed;
  • Releasing final product and raw materials via LIMS/SAP;
  • Operating, calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment;
  • Providing a troubleshooting analytical service to the operate and improve plant teams;
  • Non routine analysis as required;
  • Preparation and analysis of final product stability samples;
  • Co-ordination of stability trials
  • Inspecting and analysing specified packaging products;
  • Providing support and training to the process teams on GMP, ISO and Quality issues;
  • Maintaining up to date documentation in the laboratory area (eg, analytical methods, COSHH, manual handling assessments, risk assessments etc);
  • Sampling, Analysing and Monitoring environmental, water and waste streams;
  • Raising, investigating and following up Laboratory Investigations

 

The successful candidate will have at least an HNC in a Microbiology related subject and have a minimum of 2 years relevant industrial experience.  Candidates will have a good knowledge of Microbiological techniques, GMP and GLP.  Other essential behaviours are flexibility, self-motivation and attention to detail.
