Asset & Configuration lead specialist will play key role in strengthening our global asset and configuration ecosystem. Working closely with your counterpart, you help ensure the integrity, reliability, and evolution of our CMDB and Hardware Asset Management practices. With your ServiceNow expertise and passion for structured processes, you bring clarity to complex environments and elevate data quality that our teams rely on every day. Your key responsibilities

 

 

  • Strategic Evolution: Partner with the existing Asset & Config Manager to shape the future direction of HAM and Configuration Management, recommending enhancements, new capabilities, and long-term improvements.
  • Configuration Management: Support the maintenance and governance of the CMDB, ensuring that all Configuration Items (CIs) are accurately recorded, classified, and continuously updated across hardware, software, and services.
  • Asset Management: Assist in managing the full lifecycle of IT hardware assets - from procurement to retirement -ensuring accurate documentation, traceability, and alignment with operational and financial requirements.
  • Process Optimization: Contribute to refining and improving HAM and Configuration Management processes, supporting the evolution of standards and driving efficiency and data quality improvements.
  • Compliance & Governance: Support audit activities and ensure adherence to internal controls, external regulations, and established governance frameworks.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT operations, procurement, finance, architects, and service owners to ensure alignment between asset data, configuration models, and real-world environments.
  • Automation & AI Enablement: Identify and leverage automation, AI insights, and ServiceNow capabilities to streamline asset and configuration workflows and enhance data reliability. Provide guidance, documentation, and training on HAM/CMDB processes and tools to stakeholders and end users.

You Bring

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Configuration Management, and/or CMDB best practices, ideally within large, complex organizations. Hands-on experience with ServiceNow and discovery tools; ServiceNow certifications are a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivots, data analysis) is highly beneficial for daily operational work.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL framework; ITIL4 certification preferred. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, troubleshoot inconsistencies, and propose effective improvements.
  • Good stakeholder management skills and the ability to work across teams, countries, and cultures in a global operating model.
  • Proactive, structured, and detail-oriented professional with a passion for governance, data quality, and continuous improvement.
  • A forwardlooking mindset in applying automation and AI capabilities (e.g., workflow automation, discovery automation, AIOps insights) to enhance data quality, streamline processes, and improve operational efficiency.
