Job Title: D&T Product Manager - Sustainability Performance (Carbon)

We’re excited to be building the technology capability for Sustainability at dsm-firmenich. As a Product Manager in the Digital & Tech Sustainability domain, you’ll be at the forefront of leading and shaping transformative digital solutions that create real business impact. You’ll work closely with Business Product Owners to co-create strategic roadmaps for digital products, ensuring each initiative aligns with business goals and delivers measurable value. This role is a powerful mix of vision and execution—translating strategy into action while guiding cross-functional teams from ideation to delivery and owning the full lifecycle of product success.

Your key responsibilities

  • Strategic Roadmap Definition: Partner with Business Product Owners to co-create and continuously refine the strategic roadmap for your digital products, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals and digital transformation priorities.
  • Value Delivery & Outcome Alignment: Ensure that digital products deliver measurable value and are tightly aligned with business strategic outcomes, using KPIs and success metrics to track impact.
  • End-to-End Product Ownership: Own the full lifecycle of the product—from ideation and design to development, launch, optimization and adoption—ensuring timely and high-quality delivery with a product squad or as part of a project team.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and inspire cross-functional teams including engineering, design, data, and business stakeholders to drive collaboration and execution.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Act as the central point of contact for product-related communication, managing expectations and fostering transparency across all levels of the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Monitor product performance, gather user feedback, and identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement to keep the product relevant and competitive.

You bring

  • 10+ years of experience in digital or digital adjacent areas and Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Computer Sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience (5–10+ years) in designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-grade solutions in Sustainability with a focus on the carbon domain (Product Carbon Footprint, Emissions Factors, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of solution architecture in the Sustainability domain, with a focus on carbon management and reporting.
  • Experience with LCA tooling (SimaPro or others).
  • Experience with PCF tooling (CO2 AI, AllocNow, Makersite, or others).
  • Experience with Agile delivery, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, stakeholder management, and communication abilities.
  • Prior leadership experience, with the ability to guide and mentor technical teams
