Job Title: D&T Lead Expert, GHG Emissions

Location: Barcelona, Spain

 

We’re excited to be building the technology capability for Sustainability at dsm-firmenich. Within the Digital & Tech Sustainability domain, you’ll play a key role in supporting the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of digital solutions that help drive our sustainability agenda forward. Your work will involve analyzing complex value chain emissions data to understand how we can meet both regulatory requirements and ambitious sustainability goals.

 

In this role, you’ll also leverage cutting-edge technologies to enhance data quality and provide technical expertise to business stakeholders across the organization. By combining analytical skills with a deep understanding of digital tools, you’ll help shape impactful solutions that support our commitment to sustainability.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Support product managers in design and development of sustainability performance use cases, such as (but not limited to) Scope 1,2,3 and LCA/PCF modernization solutions.
  • Experience in developing GHG emission software or data solutions.
  • Experience with Data Models for GHG emission solutions, and data pipeline digitization.
  • Contribute as business analyst to the delivery of initiatives and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the management and improvement of data collection to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Work within a project or product squad to support delivery of initiatives or continuous improvement of existing solutions in an agile way.
  • Stay current with sustainability technologies and propose strategic improvements to reporting solutions.

You bring

  • 5-10 years of experience in sustainability, reporting, analytics, project management, or another related field.
  • Excellent functional knowledge of GHG Protocol and Scope 3 accounting and reporting standards
  • Proven experience in developing GHG emissions use cases.
  • Proven experience with reporting capabilities and technologies, including PowerBI and analysis languages such as SQL.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, including preparation, validation and structuring of data.
  • Familiarity with data engineering and modelling concepts, including a high-level understanding of Databricks and Datasphere.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a Strong project management skills or agile delivery skills to coordinate with various stakeholders.
