Country Operations Workplace Manager

Location: Barcelona


The Workplace Manager is responsible for leading and evolving the workplace and facilities experience across key corporate sites in Spain. The role ensures safe, compliant and efficient operations while elevating the employee and visitor experience beyond day-to-day facilities management. By integrating space design, technology, hospitality and sustainability, the position creates environments that enable productivity, collaboration and culture. The role holds full ownership of site operations, budgets and vendor performance, and partners closely with business leaders and corporate functions. With a strong operational foundation and a forward-looking mindset, the Workplace Manager acts as the local face of workplace strategy and experience.

 

 

Your key responsibilities


•    Lead workplace and facilities operations across corporate sites in Spain, ensuring safe, compliant and high-performing environments
•    Own end-to-end facilities management, covering hard and soft services through internal teams and IFM partners
•    Elevate workplace and visitor experience through space design, hospitality standards and technology-enabled services
•    Ensure compliance with health, safety, security and environmental regulations and corporate standards
•    Own site OPEX and CAPEX, including planning, forecasting, financial control and cost optimization
•    Drive space utilization, occupancy planning and future capacity scenarios using data and analytics
•    Act as the single point of contact for workplace topics, partnering with HR, IT, EHS, Finance, landlords and authorities
•    Govern vendors and contracts through KPIs, performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

You bring


•    Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, Architecture or Real Estate (or similar)
•    5+ years of experience in facilities, workplace or corporate real estate roles within large corporate environments
•    Proven ownership of site operations, budgets and vendor management
•    Strong financial and analytical skills with a data-driven mindset
•    Experience managing small works, re-stacks or fit-out projects
•    Excellent English communication skills; Spanish and/or Catalan highly desirable
•    Strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities
•    Employee- and visitor-centric mindset with resilience and integrity
