Key Responsibilities

  • Manage products, materials and supplies for sensory tests and as required
    • Sample procurement, storage and disposal
    • Restock supplies and ensure proper storage of products, samples references and general supplies.
    • Maintain inventory and shop for supplies
  • Maintain sensory labs, panel rooms, sensory equipment and sensory storage facilities.
  • Administer sensory tests following instructions and protocols.
    • Build session in sensory (Compusense) software
    • Prepare and code samples
    • Prepare relevant references as needed
    • Provide samples and supplies to panelists
    • Take down sessions etc.
  • Schedule, prepare samples and run informal staff tastings
  • Contribute to initial sensory panel data analysis and documentation of results for reports
  • Support screening, training, and monitoring performance of internal and external panelists in both descriptive and difference tests.
  • Maintain panelists attendance and provide panels information as required.
  • Maintain good safety and housekeeping practices by adhering to SHE guidelines

 

You bring: 

  • 3 - 5+ years sensory lab experience
  • BA/BS in Food Science or related academic discipline
  • Disciplined approach to routine work
  • Efficient with time and meticulous
  • Personable and able to work with diverse group of people
  • Enthusiastic about your work
  • Flexible team player
