Key Responsibilities: 

  • Optimize and improve production processes and assets of a production workshop (safety improvements, yield increase, reduction of batch cycle time, improvement of robustness and quality, development of assets for new products, retrofitting, etc.).
  • Monitor closely the performance of the production processes of the sector, and if needed, lead projects to correct deviations.
  • Keep up to date Standard Operation Procedures, in close collaboration with the Workshop Leader (feedback from operators) and Chemical Production Scientist.
  • Drive investment projects, from an accurate definition of requirements to delivery of business value at project completion.
  • Keep risk analysis of assets up to date and participate in Product Risk Analysis.
  • Write and update automated recipes.
  • Maintain and improve technical documents.
  • Provide training to team on technical matters and process safety.

You Bring:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering. Masters is a plus.
  • At least five years of experience in fine chemicals industry, preferentially in production (including experience in process transfer).
  • QHSE leadership and skills.
  • Strong soft skills: communication and interpersonal skills (situational intelligence), ability to share knowledge, work collectively and inspire others (out-of-the box mindset).
  • Language: French - spoken and written, English - spoken and written.
