DSM Nutritional Products is looking for someone to join our 2-year Development Program as a Reliability Engineer. We understand that developing your career path takes time and DSM is ready to support and invest in you and your future. Beginning as a Reliability Engineer in the program, DSM will help you will enhance your skillset, and develop a key network to propel you into the next phase of your DSM career.  At the end of the 2-year Development Program, DSM will identify roles for your next growth opportunity across our DSM locations in North America or possibly right here in Belvidere, New Jersey.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

Participate in a variety of projects in order to develop knowledge and skills in the area of reliability engineering. By the end of the training period, you will have established proficiency in all relevant areas of the role of Reliability Engineer, including:

  • Established networks and positive working relationships with stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of relevant manufacturing concepts, work process flows, critical equipment.
  • Analyze the plant and determine the criticality of installed equipment
  • Basic knowledge of the organization and the function of various units such as IP, Production, Maintenance, Quality, SHE, Supply Chain, Finance, P&O, and others
  • Knowledge and ability to lead small capital projects, familiar with DSM CAPEX process, project implementation, and execution steps
  • Understanding of key safety concepts and the ability to personally demonstrate the expected DSM safety behaviors; assist and support DSM SHE programs as needed

What we look for in you:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering required; minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to relocate upon completion of training program if needed (relocation program provided by the company)
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Must be available to support shift, weekend, and holiday schedules as required.
  • Solid technical writing skills
  • Ability to demonstrate solid interpersonal skills and build relationships
  • Solid collaborative leadership, time-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of equipment reliability and manufacturing processes
