Job Title: Lead Specialist GES R2D AA

Location: Hyderabad, India

The Asset Accounting Specialist will play a key role in managing the full lifecycle of fixed assets—from project creation and capitalization to asset updates and disposal. This role ensures accurate asset records, timely financial closing, and compliance with internal controls. As a critical member of the finance team, the specialist will partner with business and regional groups to maintain asset integrity, support audits, and strengthen financial governance.

Your key responsibilities

  • Manage the complete asset lifecycle including project creation, capitalization, asset updates, impairment posting, and disposals.
  • Ensure timely and accurate closure of the Asset Register during month-end, resolving issues and coordinating with RFC and business teams.
  • Handle approvals and documentation for Capital Expense Reports (CER), including creation of WBS elements, budget setup, and Asset Under Construction (AUC) activities.
  • Execute AUC-to-operation processes such as notifications, legal & fiscal checks, valuation, and settling final assets.
  • Conduct asset monitoring activities including inspection plans, physical verification, master data checks, and analytical reviews.
  • Ensure adherence to DSM internal control requirements by supporting audits, monitoring internal controls, and submitting monthly SAP-GRC control documentation.

You bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of asset accounting processes including AUC, capitalization, impairments, and disposals.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred) for asset lifecycle management.
  • Strong analytical abilities with an eye for detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage documentation and approvals effectively.
  • Knowledge of internal control frameworks, financial compliance requirements, and audit support.
