The Associate Account Manager will support the management and growth of our key customer in the Health, Nutrition and Care (HNC) Korea business. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and contribute to the business growth and retention of our key strategic customer account, in partnership with the Account Manager responsible for the key customer account. The position reports to the Account Manager, Korea, HNC.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining strong customer relationship with the key customer account.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to commercialise new projects and opportunities opportunities. Support the project management of new projects and opportunities by ensuring key milestones and timelines are met.
  • Back up and support the Account Manager for this key customer account.
  • Use the CRM system to capture customer projects, visit reports and correspondence.
  • Support the development of annual pricing contracts and track progress against the contract on quarterly basis.
  • Obtain accurate customer forecast of future sales and volumes on a monthly basis.
  • Deliver prompt and optimal service to customers and address any concerns in partnership with Customer Care and Supply Chain teams.
  • Keep abreast of and share competitor and market activity and highlight potential market opportunities in monthly reporting and internal sales meetings.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to products, process and quality system using the Customer Complaints Report (CCR) system and coordinate necessary communications both internally and externally for resolution of issues.
  • Develop and deliver compelling value propositions and commercial presentations to enhance customer understanding of dsm-firmenich’s solutions, strengthen brand positioning, and promote innovation and new business opportunities.
  • Follow safe work practices/rules and practice safe behaviour at all times, having regard to own and others safety.

You bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Food Technology or related area.
  • Sales / Account Management / Marketing experience in food/nutraceutical industry of 3-5 years with proven track record of sales success and willingness to learn.
  • Good proficiency of English language as the role requires working with team members from different countries and functions
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Sound interpersonal, written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrates clear problem-solving skills, ability to work and navigate successfully within matrix organization.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office and Teams, SAP experience preferred not essential.
  • Passion for sales, ability to work autonomously and build rapport with both customers and fellow colleagues.
  • Positive, self-motivated and driven professional who can work in remote environment.
