Account Manager -Taste

Job Title: Account Manager - Taste 

BU: Taste, Texture & Health – Taste
Location: Bangladesh

To drive profitable growth of the Taste business by managing and expanding relationships with strategic and priority customers. In this role as Account Manager, you will be reporting to Senior Commercial Director Taste – MENA and you are responsible for delivering commercial targets, sharing market insights to develop required flavor solutions in collaboration with internal teams, and acting as the key interface between the customer and dsm-firmenich to ensure excellence in service, innovation, and value delivery.

 

Your key responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of customers across various food industries, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with business goals, identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Drive revenue and margin improvement through solution selling, value-based negotiations, and effective project pipeline management.
  • Collaborate with application, creation, innovation, regulatory, and operations teams to deliver customer projects on time and within scope.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting, pricing strategies, and contract negotiation.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer needs to inform strategy and innovation opportunities. Ensure internal project systems are up to date with account activities, project pipeline, and forecast data.

 

You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, Chemistry, Business, or related field; MBA or master’s degree is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales or account management within the food ingredients and/ or flavor industry. Proven track record of delivering sales targets and managing complex accounts/projects.
  • Experience working with cross-functional, multicultural teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with consultative selling skills. Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and implement customer-centric plans
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong organizational and project management capabilities
  • Proficient in Project systems and Microsoft Office. Business-level fluency in English; Knowledge of local language
