As Account Manager for the Middle East at dsm-firmenich Animal Nutrition and Health BU, you’ll be at the forefront of driving sustainable growth in a fast-evolving animal nutrition market. You’ll build strategic partnerships, deliver customer-centric solutions, and leverage our science-based innovations to meet regional needs. This role blends commercial acumen with purpose-led impact—perfect for someone who graduated from Veterinary Medicine or Animal Nutrition/Science Faculty and ready to shape the future of nutrition in a diverse and dynamic region.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of customers within the assigned sub-region, optimizing profitability and ensuring long-term strategic growth.
  • Meet sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Gross Profit (GPx), New Business Development (NBD), and Customer Action Plans (CAPs), aligned with regional marketing and pricing strategies.
  • Gather and share insights on customer needs and competitor activities, and provide accurate monthly, quarterly, and yearly forecasts.
  • Ensure smooth execution of the order-to-cash process, including proactive cash collection and economic monitoring of customers.
  • Actively use CRM tools for all operations and projects, maintain weekly visit plans, and report performance metrics and customer interactions regularly.
  • Train and support distributor sales and technical teams to effectively promote and sell dsm-firmenich products.

You bring

  • A university degree—ideally a PhD—in Veterinary Medicine, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Nutrition, or a closely related field.
  • Several years of direct experience in the Saudi animal nutrition market, with a strong understanding of its customer dynamics, business culture, and growth potential.
  • A proven track record of professional or scientific achievements that demonstrate your expertise and commitment to excellence.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, thriving in customer-facing roles and building long-term, trust-based relationships.
  • High self-motivation and independence, with a results-driven mindset and the ability to manage complex sales projects from start to finish.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English, a valid driving license, and full availability to travel—ensuring flexibility and responsiveness across the region.
