As our successful Account Manager for Spain and Portugal, you will promote our food and animal feed diagnostic solutions in the rapid and reference testing segments. You will support and advise existing customers (end customers as well as distributors), acquire new customers, develop sales strategies, implement contract negotiations with the aim of increasing sales.

 

Your key responsibilities:

  • Advising and supporting customers using our diagnostic solutions (food, animal feed companies, laboratories, distributors)
  • Promoting Romer Labs products for the analysis of food allergens, mycotoxins and pathogens
  • Actively representing Romer Labs in conferences and seminars
  • Acquiring new customers
  • Utilizing marketing and technical resources to increase market share
  • Cooperating with the logistic team to maximize service level

You bring:

  • Several years of B2B sales experience (ideally in diagnostic segment)
  • Life science education background e.g. chemistry, food engineering, biotechnology, biology, agriculture
  • Able to travel in the region (~50%)
  • Category B driving license
  • Excellent communication skills. Fluent in English Spanish and Portuguese – verbal and written
  • Team player, strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work across cultures and communicate effectively in both remote and face to face situations
  • Solution orientated attitude, analytical mindset, innovative thinking and creativity, target oriented, strong customer focus
  • Experienced in IT systems (e.g. Microsoft Office, SalesForce)
