Job Title: SHE Engineer

Report to: SHE and Security Manager

Business Unit: DEM

Location: Jiangyin

 

Purpose of the Position:

  1. To ensure safe operations on site and sustainable compliance with DSM SHE and Requirements, best practices and other relevant laws and regulations;
  2. To provide an injury-free and incident-free workplace and to prevent all work-related disabilities or health problems;
  3. To improve the safe behavior and safety culture on site.

 

The Position:

  1. Implement the relevant requirement/instruction related on DSM SHE/Security, Manufacturing, Quality, GMP, RoHS/REACH, ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements, AEO and relevant local laws and regulations.
  2. Show leadership to promote safety awareness, and safe behaviour in the site.
  3. Be responsible for reporting unsafe condition and unsafe behavior.
  4. Organize and participant in SHE and process safety risk assessment.
  5. Identify relevant SHE Legislation and do the compliance evaluation.
  6. Develop and implement local SHE procedures according to DSM SHE requirements, Life Saving Rules Standards, Process Safety Standards and relevant legislations.
  7. Coordinate the implementation of Corporate and BG activities, such as learning from incident, SHE flyer communication and Living Safety campaign.
  8. Participate in the incident investigation and do the incident trend analysis.
  9. Interact with government officials and other third parties.
  10. Do routine SHE audit to ensure effectiveness of procedures and communicates.
  11. Maintain and analyze data on SHE performance to reach KPIs.
  12. Organize and support site SHE trainings and communications.
  13. Fully support and involve in DICI program

 

The Ideal

  1. At least 3 years of experience in SHE or operations management position in chemical industry.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Certified Safety Engineer is preferred
  3. Ability to work in multicultural and international environment
  4. Knowledge of laws, regulations and standards on SHE
  5. Good communication skills with internal and external stakeholder
  6. Good spoken and written English and Mandarin
